The Governors of Yohden Primary School are looking to successfully appoint a hardworking, organised, reliable and highly effective practitioner who has experiencing of working in an early years setting, to join our staff team in September 2025.

We require for September 2025, teaching assistant to join our dedicated, hardworking staff, who puts the needs of our children at the forefront of their practice. The successful candidate will become part of a supportive team and dedicated staff who have high expectations and demonstrate a caring attitude towards our children’s academic, social and personal development.

Personal attributes

• Have recent and relevant training or experience of working in an early years setting.

• Have effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

  • Works well with others.
  • Able to work effectively with individual and groups of children
  • Have high expectations of learning and achievement for all children.
  • Monitor, record and report on pupil’s attainment under the direction of the teacher.
  • Support the development and implementation of appropriate behaviour management strategies to anticipate and manage behaviour constructively, promoting self- control and independence. Interact with pupils in ways that support the development of their ability to think and learn independently.
  • Ability to develop strong and respectful relationships with parents and carers.
  • Promote inclusion of all including those with SEND.
  • Be able to effectively model and extend children’s language and vocabulary.
  • Assist pupils with personal hygiene and welfare, including physical and medical needs whilst encouraging independence.
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of pupils in nursery.
  • Organise and manage an appropriate learning environment and resources.
