Yohden’s vision for Maths

We want all children to be able to:

• believe that they can succeed at maths and build resilience to do so
• become fluent and confident mathematicians
• explain their mathematical thinking clearly
• develop connections between mathematical ideas which leads to lifelong maths skills 
• solve problems by using reasoning skills
• apply their mathematical skills in a wide range of real life situations and become financially literate

Maths Home learning

NumBots 

NumBots is an online platform designed to help pupils develop strong basic maths skills, particularly in number bonds, addition, and subtraction. It’s aimed at 4-7 year old children and uses engaging, game-like activities to build fluency and confidence with numbers. Pupils progress through a series of levels as they improve their speed and accuracy.

TTRockstars 

 Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRockStars) is a fun, gamified maths platform designed to help pupils master multiplication and sometimes division facts through regular, timed practice up to 12x12. TTRockstars turns mastering times tables into an enjoyable, music-inspired challenge. It builds automatic recall, speed, and confidence through daily practice, engaging gameplay, and school-led competitions — perfect for helping kids internalize multiplication facts in a motivating way.
