Class and teacher
My name is Mr Suddick and I teach Year 3.
This term I will be teaching spellings, handwriting, reading, English, Maths, Science, RE, French, Geography, PE, Music and Computing.
Mrs Judd is in our class to support our learning.
On a Friday afternoon, Mrs Judd is my PPA cover, and she teaches PHSE and Art.
Which yard and start times?
Year 3 enter and leave the school using the KS2 yard and start at 8.50am.
We finish our learning at 3.15pm
Lunchtimes (when, who)
At lunchtime, we go out to play at 12pm and eat our lunch in the hall with Year 4 at 12.30pm. We go back into class for our learning at 1pm.
Our lunchtime supervisors are Mrs Pearn and Mrs Corfield.
Our PE days are Tuesday and Thursday.
We wear blue/black shorts or trousers, a white t-shirt and trainers.
Earrings need to be removed for safety or covered with tape.
Home learning (spellings, TTRS, Lexia, reading etc)
We need to complete 30 minutes of Lexia and Times Table Rockstars to help us with our Year 4 times table test next year. This should be completed independently with minimal support and supervision. We are given spellings on a Monday which should be practised, and activities completed by Friday that week. Sometimes we may need adult support to help us practise and to test that we have learned our spellings.
Reading is important and we must read at least 3 times per week at home with an adult. Adults need to write about how we read e.g was there a word we were stuck on, did we read fluently, did we understand the meaning of vocabulary, and could we answer questions about events and characters?
We bring reading books into school every day to help us with our reading.
