Welcome to the Yohden School Council.
Student Voice
The school has a school council, two representatives from each class, who meet up regularly to discuss ways in which to develop the school. School council have contributed to the change of school dinners, rewards and consequences, playtime equipment and are now working collaboratively to introduce a child friendly e-safety policy with a strong student voice to encourage children to take the lead in their learning while providing them with the skills and knowledge to access information in a safe way.
They are planning a presentation to give to senior management and school governors in an attempt to enhance the way electronic devices and the internet are used in school whilst concentrating heavily on staying safe.
All discussions and outcomes of meetings are fed back to individual classes to ensue every child has their say and minutes of the meetings are published in the school council file.
